The Binghamton University Student Emergency Fund grant is an award of financial assistance for currently enrolled Binghamton University students experiencing unusual and unforeseen circumstances that have caused financial demands, immediately threaten one’s academic progress and success (i.e. fire, flood, car accident), and for which there is no other source of reasonable remedy for the student.
SEEK (Support, Empathy, Empowerment, Kindness) is an entirely student-run service for Binghamton University students to talk through any issue they may be facing. This service is a free, SA-chartered, private resource. SEEK is open 8–11 p.m. whenever residence halls are open during the fall and spring semesters.
If you are concerned that a student is exhibiting personality or behavioral changes such as a lack of interest or engagement with others or signs of aggression, completing a referral form for the CARE Team is a great first step.
