Concerns may include: questions about whether taking a medical leave is the right option for you, concerns about what it means to take a medical leave, questions about the paperwork you need to fill out to take a medical leave, inability to successfully complete academic responsibilities due to a physical or psychological concern.

Dean of Students CARE Team
The Dean of Students CARE Team (Consultation, Advocacy, Resources/Referrals and Education) is available to help students with a variety of issues. The CARE Team works to empower students and attend to their needs holistically through education and personal development. The CARE team supports and helps students find a path to success. Case managers often help students find solutions to complex problems and help students cope with complex situations. The case manager works with the student to identify their struggles and potential solutions by discussing resources. The CARE Team also coordinates the 20:1 Interpersonal Violence Prevention Program peer education internship.

University Counseling Center (UCC)
The University Counseling Center (UCC) offers a variety of clinical mental health services to Binghamton University students. Individual and group therapy is available, or students can receive guidance about off-campus mental health providers from the treatment coordinator. Cognitive skill-building workshops are also offered regularly throughout the semester.
