Reasonable Accommodations at Binghamton University

Binghamton University has a long history of commitment to providing access for individuals with disabilities. Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) is the appropriate entity on campus to determine and authorize reasonable accommodations for students. As partners in access, we work with students, faculty and staff to facilitate an accessible and inclusive campus.

Process to Register with SSD

1. Student completes the online Request to Register, uploading the appropriate documentation to the form. Review the documentation requirements.
2. Student will receive an email from an SSD staff member.
3. Student meets with an SSD staff person to review documentation, history of accommodations and the functional impact of the disability.
4. SSD will determine and authorize equal access accommodations.
