Health Promotion and Prevention Services (HPPS) provides health education and prevention services related to common college health topics such as physical activity, mental health, sexual and reproductive health, interpersonal violence, and alcohol, tobacco and other drug use. HPPS coordinates the Mental Health Outreach Peer Educators (M-HOPE), the Real Education About College Health (REACH) peer education internship, the 20:1 Interpersonal Violence Prevention Program peer education internship, and houses the the Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs Office.
As part of health education, HPPS provides safer sex supplies and menstrual care products for free. Students can find them on the third floor of Academic B. There are also external condom dispensers located in the women’s, men’s and gender neutral restrooms of the Union in Tillman Lobby (by Dunkin Donuts). There is also one dispenser in the gender neutral restroom at Campus Recreation. Additionally, students can order supplies online.
